Companies in the UAE need to do more to ensure their employees are better prepared to handle fires.

That’s the message from safety experts, who say that many firms are not aware of a federal law which makes it mandatory for them to provide training to staff.

Concerns are also being raised about employers’ reluctance to spend time and money on emergency procedures.
